Who can join?
The NY Veterans Chamber of Commerce is an organization focused on enhancing the economic vitality of veterans and military spouses including those that own and run a business. We have programming for all service connected disabled veteran owned, veteran owned, and military spouse owned businesses in the state of New York and the surrounding areas. We focus on job creation and placing veterans into meaningful employment for current and emerging roles. Our goal is to create a fairer economy for all veterans, disabled veterans, student veterans, and military spouses. Membership is currently free to all veterans and milspouses. Membership in the veteran’s chamber is open to:
· Veteran Owned Businesses (VOBs)
· Service Connected Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOBs)
· Military spouse owned businesses
· Veterans looking for work or thinking of starting a business
· Companies with a veteran focused employee resource group
· Companies with veteran hiring initiatives
· Companies looking to contract with veteran businesses through supplier diversity programs
· Academic institutions with a focus on veterans causes
· Public institutions with procurement programs with a focus on veteran businesses
· Prime Vendors looking for VOBs & SDVOBs for subcontracting opportunities
· Student Veterans
· Charitable Organizations
· Other Veterans Chambers
We encourage non-veteran businesses to join!
The best way to support the veterans chamber is by joining the veterans chamber. We want the opportunity for veteran business owners to interact with their civilian counterparts. We have special membership opportunities for non-veterans, including a sponsor membership, which allows veteran business owners to join at no cost
